Ragging Free Campus

Ragging is a criminal offence as per the Supreme Court verdict. Ragging is an offence under penal code and under section 116 of Karnataka Education act, 1983.Srajan Institute have vision let's make India ragging free.

Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in this institution including in its department constitution units, all its premises whether located within the campus or outside the campus. In the any offence related to ragging an institute can take a strict action.

Ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts as per the AICTE/UGC Act:

  • Any conduct by any student or students whether by word spoken or written or by any act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
  • Indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harms or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.
  • Asking any student to do any act which such student do not want to do with his/her wish.
  • Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturb the regular academic activity.
  • Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post which will harmful to emotions of any student.
  • Any act that effect the mental health and self confidence of a fresher or any other student with or without intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority, by a student over any fresher or any other student.
